LeBron James Partners with Warner Bros.; Is SPACE JAM 2 on the Way?

LeBron James recently made his big-screen debut in Judd Apatow’s comedy,Trainwreck. So it’s not much of a surprise if he continues his acting career and now, to learn that James has made a deal with Warner Bros. Entertainment in order to produce original film, TV, and digital content.

As Variety reports, James’ Spring Hill Entertainment has partnered with WB, which was announced along with the following statement from Warners chairman and CEO, Kevin Tsujihara:

“LeBron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and SpringHill Entertainment,” Tsujihara said. “The combination of LeBron’s global media presence and Warner Bros.’ unmatched production and distribution expertise is a big win for fans everywhere.”

So what could this mean? There have been rumors in the past that James could be taking the lead in the Space Jam  reboot or sequel but now that he’s actually signed in on the studio, it could probably be it! But no official word on that yet.

So, to reiterate, there’s no official word on a Space Jam project at this point, but James continues to tease fans with his business dealings. Would you be up for the movie if it ever actually happened?
