MOVIE REVIEW: Hitman: Agent 47 (2015)

“An agent’s advantage is not his body. It’s his mind.”

With enough suspense and action thrills, Hitman: Agent 47 works within its genre. A video game turned into a full-length movie that is surprisingly good and interesting once the main plot takes place. The story isn’t all that new, though. It has the formula of a typical action film but it’s not dumb either. Just a slick action thriller with juicy twists that gives the audiences what they’ve bargained for or maybe more.

It’s like a better, decent version of Terminator: Genisys or rather like the first Resident Evil movie. Hitman: Agent 47 could’ve offered more but it’s mystery, action sequences and twists are enough for it to be a fitting start of a franchise. Friend, Ware and Quinto gives convincing performances for their roles which requires skills in fighting. You may feel the need for more as the suspense is felt from start to finish giving the film what it needs for a satisfying and entertaining time at the movies.

Note: There is a mid-credits scene hinting a sequel in the future.
