Just after the elections, Quantum Films’ My Candidate will put romance into politics with Iza Calzado, Shaina Magdayao and Derek Ramsay starring and directed by Quark Henares.

Derek Ramsay runs as a politician who has no idea what to do, so they hire a communications coach (Shaina Magdayao) for him to look and act like the ideal politician to win in the elections. But as the story progresses, Derek and Shaina falls in love and enters the character of Iza Calzado, Derek’s past relationship.
Cliched as it may sound, it will always comes down to delivering a decent story and from the looks of it, and Quantum Films’ track record, it will.
“My Candidate” opens in Philippine cinemas May 11, 2016 from Quantum Films, MJM Productions, Tuko Film Productions and Buchi Boy Films.
