Winner of seven awards at the CineFilipino Film Festival 2016 including 1st Runner Up – Best Picture, Best Director and Best Cinematography for Ice Idanan and Best Actor for Pepe Herrera, where it had its initial run last March 2016, “Sakaling Hindi Makarating” will finally have its commercial run in Philippine cinemas starting February 1, 2017 as a pre-Valentine presentation.
Starring Alessandra de Rossi as Cielo, who recently just ended their eleven-year relationship by his fiance Mark (Jay Gonzaga) two months before their wedding. But a series of hand-illustrated postcards delivered to her drove her to travel and discover the destinations, finding the answers if it was connected with her ex-fiance, not realizing she’s being drawn to the beauty of the locations and will lead her to unusual friends and finally making her better than what she was before she left.
Sakaling Hindi Makarating is the perfect pre-Valentine movie that not only present ways about moving on but also makes us realize the beauty of the Philippines, not just the ones that are regularly featured but also the ones that doesn’t scream tourist spot such as Zamboanga, Marinduque, Siquijor, Pagudpod and Batanes.
It’s a beautifully-captured film that helps the audience find serenity and maybe a push for their long-awaited travel plans.
The film also stars Therese Malvar, JC Santos, Lesley Lina and Elijah Canlas. Co-written and directed by Ice Idanan.
