Three years after John Wick got his revenge for the dog that was given by his deceased wife, he returns to the world of hitman as a bounty was placed on his head, which did not go well for the person who put the bounty on him. Because you don’t want to mess with John Wick, ever.
Being entertained mostly because of violent doesn’t get any better than this. Keanu Reeves returns as the relentless hired killer John Wick in full throttle. It’s smart, excellently directed from the story to the fight scenes, and Reeves is just perfect as John Wick. There’s nothing you want more if you’re a die-hard fan of action films as it gives the grit, the needed carnage and above decent quality of story.
It’s a high-adrenaline, non-stop action, perfect anti-Valentine movie for the audience to see. The fight aren’t just empty punches and killing, these are driven by life and death situations, impossible to look at but it is John Wick or as they call, The Boogeyman. It’s relieving to see an action film that has a smart protagonist and villain, and a story that is entertaining, even if all the violence is bothering at times.

Watch the scene in which Wick reads his wife’s note and see how much pain that man is in. In that moment, Keanu sells the set up with one acting performance. He’s lost without her. Anyone who has lost someone, whether it be due to death or just a terrible break-up knows the kind of pain Keanu is showing in that moment. It’s not about the dog. It’s about the right to grieve. That’s what was taken away from him, and that’s what he went out for revenge for. I think many people are missing the whole point of the dog, what it represents and how the film does more with so little – more so than almost any of theses types of action genre films.
