#ToFarm2017: Jason Paul Laxamana’s “Instalado” Starts Shooting

Jason Paul Laxamana’s ToFarm Film Festival 2017 entry Instalado has started filming as per his social media posts:

Other than its main stars McCoy de Leon, Francis Magundayao and Junjun Quintana, Barbara Miguel (Nuwebe, Wan-Tu-Tri)  has apparently been revealed as part of the cast as Shamil Al-Ibrahim.

And here’s your first look at Francis Magundayao as Danny Sigua Quizon.

‘Instalado’ is a science fiction drama set in a farming village a few years into the future. Victor lives in a time when the dominant form of education is through installation, an overnight process that allows bodies of knowledge to be installed directly on people’s brains using technology owned by corporations. Unfortunately, Victor, like many others in the agricultural town of Porac, cannot afford the sky-high cost of installation, which he believes is the key to pull his family out of poverty. To raise money for installation, Victor temporarily abandons farming and works as the household helper of a wealthy childhood friend who has become extremely successful after undergoing a series of installations.

Catch Instalado and all the other entries of the ToFarm Film Festival on July 12 to 18 at select cinemas.
