Definitely a risk worth taking, Hello, Love, Goodbye proves that a fresh team-up still works if you have the best people in front of and behind the cameras. Director Cathy Garcia-Molina once again does her magic in creating a well-written, well-directed and well-acted movie.
I don’t know what happened before they started shooting but this is Kathryn Bernardo, Alden Richards and director Cathy Garcia-Molina at their best. I was expecting it to be good, because this is a rare chance for two big stars from different networks to work in one movie but I was more than impressed by the outcome of the film.
I was not ready for the surprises as there are scenes that are firsts for Alden and Kathryn. But these surprises are a delightful, mounted carefully and has weight on the story.
Hello, Love, Goodbye is an event movie not just because of the names involved in this project but also because of how genuine and honest is its take on this generation’s hopes, dreams and love. It’s a well-done OFW / romance movie that will leave the audiences with a warm heart and a fresh view on how it is to be an Overseas Filipino Worker in Hong Kong.
