The Fourth Installment of The Narnia Film Series ‘Silver Chair’ Script Has Been Finished

NarniaScreenwriter David Magee tweeted (@davidmagee62) the exciting news about The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair:

“Completed the final draft of The Silver Chair today. I’ve had the immense pleasure to work on the project for over a year now. So fulfilling.”

The Silver Chair is the first Narnia book without any of the Pevensie children. Instead, Aslan calls Eustace (Will Poulter) back to Narnia together with his classmate Jill Pole. There they are given four signs to aid them in the search for Prince Rilian, Caspian’s son, who disappeared after setting out ten years earlier to avenge his mother’s death. Fifty years have passed in Narnia and Caspian, who was barely an adult in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, is now an old man, while Eustace is still a child.

Eustace and Jill, with the help of Puddleglum the Marsh-wiggle, face danger and betrayal on their quest to find Rilian.

No news yet on which studio will release the next installment of the franchise since after The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian, the film rights to Voyage of the Dawn Treader was bought and released by 20th Century Fox. It’s too early to tell how the fate of Silver Chair will be since Magee’s final draft won’t be final if the studios doesn’t like it.

More details will soon come up and we’ll be there to update you.
