IN THE HEART OF THE SEA (2015) Review
Directed by Ron Howard
Its in-your-face, thrusting and eventful turns and camera works make you feel sea-sick but its story is quite engaging and moving that you keep your eyes on the screen for what’s next. In The Heart of the Sea is uneasy to watch, whether for its weirdly chosen camera works or its treatment used to forcibly thrust its story to the audience in an unsettling way. But the drama though is captivating, and with its fine actors at hand, it gets to be a thrilling ride with big and heavy sequences that you would not expect.
The film is epic in scale and with actors like Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Ben Whishaw and Tom Holland, a film directed by Ron Howard, you know you’re about to witness something grand. And In The Heart of The Sea proved itself to be. The costume, production design and visual effects are top notch, even the scenes at the sea are very convincing. This is a work of professionals and yes, they delivered.
