Most of us probably turned to watching series and movies more during the pandemic and one particular content some of us are hooked into are South Korean dramas. Some started their love for K-drama years ago when local TVs aired began airing romantic comedy series that made us glued to our TV screens every night.
That fever is what Viu’s upcoming original series K-Love is all about. Watch the trailer below:
“I’m normally cast in some very dark and serious roles and projects, that alone makes this very different. As you saw from the trailer, it’s light and bubbly, it’s feel-good. I mean, I have been able to do a few light projects along the way but this is one of the most feel-good sets on and off cam that I’ve been part of,” shares K-Love star Iza Calzado on the difference of their series durnig their media conference.
When asked why she accepted the role of Viu, Iza shared “like most actors should do, you check the script, you read the script. That won me over. Because when I red it it was so well-written, it was dynamic, the dialogue flowed, and I always check ‘can I do this show? Can I breathe life to Tish?’ And when I said I could, I accepted it. And I’m so glad I did.”
