Pinay trans Bambi Moreno plans to bring Pinoy talents to Japan, wants to work with Coco Martin

Some of us were clueless of who Bambi Moreno was when we got an invite for her intimate press conference. Little did we know, she was a former action star in the 80s who worked with now veteran actors Jestoni Alarcon, Janice de Belen to name a few and goes by the name Arthur Benedicto.

But now, a woman inside and out, Bambi proudly says, “ang sarap maging babae,” for making the best decision of her life transitioning to a woman. “Kaya kung nawala ang sa inyo (male reproductive organ), ‘wag kayo magsisi dahil masarap!” she continues.

On how she knew that she wasn’t a “he” but a “her.”

“At the age of 7, may kapitbahay ako, hindi ko alam kung anong ginawa sa akin,” she shares.

Does that mean she was a victim of harassment when she was a child?

“Seven years old pa lang ako that time, eh. Hindi ko alam,” she answers. “Iyakan ba ito?” she blurts to make the conversation lighter.

One of the reasons why she returned in the Philippines is because she wants to meet and in the future, hire people, for the entertainment bar business she is putting up in Osaka, Japan.

“Wala dun (sa Japan) na comedy bar na katulad dito sa atin,” she shares. But the target customers are not just the Filipinos in Japan but also the Japanese themselves.

On who she wants to perform in her planned entertainment bar, Bambi answers, ” si Mamang (Pokwang).

On returning to showbiz, wanting to work with Coco Martin in Batang Quiapo

“Gustong gusto ko kasi lumabas sa Batang Quiapo. Ang daming nanonood ng Batang Quiapo sa Japan and mentor ko si Joel Lamangan.”

Bambi shares she wants to act not only with ABS-CBN’s Primetime King Coco Martin but also with her mentor Joel Lamangan who plays Roda in the top-rating show.

It looks like her showbiz side never left even after thirty-eight (38) years of being absent in the entertainment industry, specifically acting. But with her personality, she can easily get your attention and putting that personality on a TV show is an easy way to add charm to a show.

But can she balance her business and career when she returns to acting?

“Marami akong alagad!” she jokingly answers. “Kung nakaya nila, kaya nating lahat,” she continues.
