Marvel fans, assemble! Captain America: Brave New World has officially landed in cinemas nationwide, marking the first Marvel film of the year. And what better way to celebrate than with an epic tribute right here in Metro Manila?
A new mural has taken over the famous Tenement Court in Taguig, showcasing the new Captain America in all his glory. Designed and painted by the Tenement Visual Artists (TVA), a collective of passionate Filipino muralists, the artwork features Sam Wilson’s Captain America gripping his iconic shield, clad in his new suit, with the raging Red Hulk looming in the background, ready for battle.

For TVA, this project is more than just a painting—it’s a celebration of Filipino artistry and the country’s love for Marvel. “Isang karangalan po magkaroon ng opportunity ang Tenement Visual Artists na gumawa ng isang mural para kay Captain America na talagang iniidolo ng nakararami.” shared TVA member Adrian Piñon. (Translation: It’s truly an honor for Tenement Visual Artists to have the opportunity to create a mural for Captain America, a hero admired by many.)
Since its unveiling, Marvel enthusiasts, including cosplayers dressed as Sam Wilson’s Cap, Steve Rogers, and even the mighty Red Hulk, have begun flocking to the site, snapping photos and soaking in the energy of this larger-than-life masterpiece.
Want to see the action up close? The mural will be open for public viewing until March 12, 2025. Whether you’re a Marvel superfan, a street art enthusiast, or just looking for an Instagram-worthy moment, don’t miss out. Drop by the Tenement Court in Taguig, share your photos on social media, and maybe even shoot some hoops or spike a volleyball on this one-of-a-kind court. After all, a hero’s legacy isn’t just about the battles they fight—it’s about the community they inspire.
