12,000 materials undergo MTRCB ratings and classifications in April 2025

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), under the leadership of Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto-Antonio, rated and classified around 12,000 TV and film-related materials for April 2025.

Some 11,097 materials came from TV Programs, 676 from plugs and trailers for TV and movies, 123 publicity materials and 39 local and international films.

Sotto-Antonio emphasized the agency’s critical role in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.

“Every age-appropriate classification we provide is a step toward promoting responsible viewing habits,” said Sotto-Antonio. “We reassure the public that the Board will remain proactive in reviewing materials to ensure age-appropriate classification for all.”

The MTRCB’s output for April 2025 includes local and international films, TV programs, trailers, and other related publicity materials.

For the first quarter of 2025 alone, MTRCB has rated and classified around 70,000 materials, a testament to the dedication and commitment of its 31 Board Members to serve the viewing public.
