“People are kind of always ready to laugh,” says producer Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy) in a new featurette for this year’s The Naked Gun. “Growing up, I loved The Naked Gun [starring Leslie Nielsen]. This kind of broad, absurdist comedy would transcend all age groups.”
In The Naked Gun, Liam Neeson plays Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., son of Lt. Frank Drebin (famously played by Leslie Nielsen) and the only man who has the particular set of skills to lead Police Squad and save the world! Directed by Akiva Schaffer (Saturday Night Live, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) and produced by MacFarlane, The Naked Gun stars Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, with Danny Huston.
