A new edition of one of the most celebrated videoke singing reality game shows in the Philippines, ‘Sing Galing returns for its ‘Sing-lebrity Edition’ with 48 celebrities who will showcase their singing talents. And the prize? They get to choose their beneficiary and be crowned as the Ultimate Bida-oke Sing-lebrity.
But what can the audience expect from this edition?
“Kakatapos lang ng very successful na Sing Galing regular season, season 3. Nakakatuwa ‘yun at inantabayanan agad namin ang celebrity edition and we’re just so happy, excited to present to you at ipakita sa inyo kung ano ang nangyari sa Sing-lebrity Edition,” Sing Galing Sing Master Randy Santiago excitedly shares during the media conference of Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition.
“Ano ‘yung i-expect? Makikita mo naman sa mukha namin na masaya kasi masaya ‘yun (Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition), sigurado. At saka nakaka-proud kasi ‘yung Sing-lebrity Edition kasi makikita mo ‘yung kapwa mo artista, handang magmukhang tanga para lang sa kanyang bidaficiary. Dun mo makikita ‘yung good nature ng mga kasama mo sa industriya at kahit papaano, ako, kahit di mo na ako palakpakan, bayaran mo lang ako, pero ang mga kasama kong ito, gagawin talaga nila para sa kanilang beneficiary. Napakaganda,” adds Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition Jukeboss Rey Valera.
“For me, expect the unexpected kasi there are artists, specifically the males, na alam kong magaling na artist but when I heard them sing, I was pleasantly surprised na maganda ‘yung boses. And two or three of them, ang sabi ko kung you concentrate in singing, you’ll be a fabulous singer. So, expect the unexpected from these people,” Jukeboss Ariel Rivera continues.
Filipinos are known globally for their voices. Karaoke or videoke is like a usual weekend family or friends gathering for us. But for celebrities who aren’t known for their talents in singing, they join in and sing their hearts out for their chosen beneficiary. The show celebrates the bayanihan culture in the Philippines, but it doesn’t forget to be entertaining.
Music, laughs and helping people, Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition is a show that makes Filipinos come together not just for entertainment but also with a purpose.
