VMX brings in the heat this January with ‘Sulutan’ and ‘Angkinin Mo Ako’

Why can’t two people just love freely? This sad reality is explored in two VMX movies this January: “Sulutan” and “Angkinin Mo Ako”.

After having her heart broken by a man, a woman’s newfound same-sex love might just be ruined again by another man.

“Sulutan” tells the story of Mara (Karen Lopez), a sales agent who catches her fiancé making love with her co-worker, Regine (Alisson Ross). Mara has always known of Marco’s reputation as a playboy, yet she just used to shrug it off. But now, she can’t just ignore it…especially when there’s someone else who’s strongly getting her attention.

Lena (Astrid Lee) is a new sales agent whom Mara finds interesting because of her looks and feistiness. Mara befriends Lena, and the more she spends time with her, the more she feels something she’s never felt before.

Their supposed platonic friendship becomes sexual until it blooms into love. But just when Mara’s basking in this love, another co-worker, Lito (Mark Dionisio), finds out about their relationship and then blackmails them.

Find out what Lito wants in exchange for his silence. Will Mara let him get away with it?

Directed by Rodante Y. Pajemna, Jr., “Sulutan” is now available for streaming on VMX.

A story of longing, temptation, and the dangerous lines we cross unfolds on VMX this January in Topel Lee’s ‘Angkinin Mo Ako.’ This sexy drama explores lust in all its beauty and consequence, featuring fearless performances from Cess Garcia, Dara Lima, Juan Paulo Calma, and Sheena Cole.

“Angkinin Mo Ako” follows Daniel (Calma), a driven college student whose tutoring sessions introduce him to Isabel (Garcia), the captivating older sister of his student, Zoe (Lima). What starts as casual conversations and friendly interactions slowly turns into a deeper connection. Daniel and Isabel find themselves drawn to each other—pulled by curiosity, loneliness, and an attraction they can’t ignore.

Complicating matters further, Zoe finds herself drawn to Daniel as well. Torn between desire and conscience, each of them struggles to do what is right. Secrets pile up and guilt seeps in, forcing each of them to face the price of giving in to what they want.
