A night of singing, laughter, and intense competition filled the air at the Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition Ultimate Pasingkatan: The Grand Kantawanan, held at the Meralco Theater and aired on March 14-15 and March 21-22 on TV5.
The “Millennial Singing Prince,” CJ Navato, was crowned the Ultimate Bida-Oke Sing-lebrity, winning against fellow Sing-lebrities Johannes Rissler, Alexa Miro, Jay Gonzaga, Sexbomb Monic, and Nikki Valdez.
CJ showcased his talent with a soulful rendition of “Warrior Is A Child,” originally sung by Gary Valenciano. The performance touched the hearts of the “Jukebosses” (judges), which included Ariel Rivera, Jessa Zaragoza, Dingdong Avanzado, Mitoy Yonting, Nina, Vehnee Saturno, Ronnie Liang, Ella May Saison, and Rey Valera and Ethel Booba (the first Sing Galing grand champion).
The Prizes
For his victory, CJ received:
• ₱500,000 in cash.
• A 3-day, 2-night stay for two at Kalaiyaan Coast.
• ₱100,000 worth of furniture from Sylpauljoyce and Solano Hotel.
• The Ultimate Bida-Oke Trophy, designed by renowned visual artist Alon Palisoc.
• Additionally, CJ’s chosen “Bidaficiary,” Erika Malle, also received ₱500,000.
According to CJ, this was the first time he had ever been declared a winner in a competition, making his Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition journey deeply meaningful.
“You always have to listen to whatever your heart is telling you. You have to know what your heart sounds like, because it will lead you to where you are supposed to be,” CJ shared regarding his win.
Finalist Standings
• 1st Runner-Up: Johannes Rissler (performing “My Way”). He and his Bidaficiary each took home ₱250,000 and an overnight stay at Kalaiyaan Coast.
• Alexa Miro and Jay Gonzaga: Both received ₱200,000 for themselves and their respective Bidaficiaries.
• SexBomb Monic Icban and Nikki Valdez: Both received ₱100,000 for themselves and their Bidaficiaries.
A Night of Reunion for Sing Galing
The grand finals also served as a massive reunion for former contestants and Sing-lebrities, including Patricia Javier, Anton Diva, Krissha Viaje, and many others from previous seasons. Even 2022 favorites like Joseph Bitangcol and Pepe Herrera were in attendance.
The stage also welcomed back 2022’s Ultimate Bida-Oke Sing-lebrity Patrick Quiroz, alongside previous champions Marimar Tua Parayao, Carmela Lorzano, Shanen Garciso, and Sing Galing Kids star Emil Malaborbor.
The “Grand Kantawanan” was made even livelier by “SING-kulitan” segments featuring popular “Singtokers” (TikTok creators) and a special appearance by John “Sweet” Lapus, one of the original hosts of the show back in 1998, who joined current Singmasters Donita Nose, K Brosas, and Randy Santiago.
