While it may feel like a rehash at times, following the same formula for conflict and resolution, The Devil Wears Prada 2 still manages to surprise. It is a total crowd-pleaser that provides heartwarming and fitting closure for its characters. The experience feels like a catch-up with a good old friend: warm, full of laughs, and finally answering those “what ifs.”

I was surprised the film isn’t as slow-paced as Lana’s previous serious dramas. ‘Sisa’ is an entertaining, immersive and powerful drama that will leave you in awe because of its story, powerhouse cast and how it is told. This is Jun Robles Lana at his best, controlling how every scene is perceived and presented, and demonstrating a masterful command over its narrative that keeps the audience glued to the screen from start to finish.
It’s an Irene Villamor film. If you’re expecting deep talks about relationships and life, you’ll get it all and more. It’s actually how the story was built. While visually, Curtis and Jericho played their part really well, it’s the conversations that tell the story. The lines, the meanings behind their words, how they hold back from saying things and how they let it all out when it was all they have left.

It’s not about being chased by the undead anymore. ‘The Bone Temple’ is a study of humanity – the choices we make when there are no rules, when we are helpless, when we have nowhere to go. ‘28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ is as satisfying as it is hauntingly beautiful.
Sigrid Andrea Bernardo’s latest film, ‘I’mPerfect’, is such a feel-good film. While it may star two people with Down Syndrome, who are first-time actors as well, the film gets its charm and heart from its story and characters.

It’s eye-opening, thought-provoking, inspiring and at the same time, comforting. Beyond the entertainment factor of the film, it showcases other people’s lives, struggles, and how they overcome these challenges – this is one of the reasons why I love watching movies.

Even with the little space, less than 10 actors and a running time of 1 hour and 40 minutes – a bit shorter than most theater plays, Ang Madea gets to be a deeply engrossing and powerful theater experience.
It’s hard to follow how big ‘Wicked’ (2024) is, visually and emotionally, how the talents of the lead stars presented in the first film are even harder to top. But ‘Wicked: For Good’ demonstrated sufficient drama, magic and music for the fans and non-fans to have their “wicked” ending.
