Look fear in the face. “Clayface” is DC Studios’ first horror thriller, directed by James Watkins from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, based on characters from DC. It stars Tom Rhys Harries as the titular Gotham City villain, with Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, as well as Nancy Carroll and Joshua James. “Clayface” opens in Philippine cinemas October 21.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ Mickey 17 is now streaming globally on Max.
Director Bong Joon-ho crafts an entertaining sociopolitical movie. The film feels like a combination of his films, particularly Snowpiercer and Okja—the minorities standing up and making an environmental statement. But what’s great is that Bong Joon-ho is a master at telling big stories; even those that look intimate feel big.
The highly anticipated “Mickey 17,” director Bong Joon Ho’s first feature since winning the Best Picture Academy Award (as well as Best Director and Best Original Screenplay) for his 2019 film “Parasite,” had its world premiere in London, followed by another premiere at the 75th Berlin Film Festival, on February 13 and 15, respectively. Reactions from the premieres have come out, praising Bong’s latest film as worth the wait.
