Thai horror movie “Don’t Sleep,” starring Atiwat Saengtien of “Pee Nak,” now showing exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas

Ayala Malls Cinemas is exclusively bringing to Philippine theaters another Asian horror film this coming month. Following last year’s zombie-themed “Operation Undead,” comes the Thai horror-thriller “Don’t Sleep,” starring Atiwat Saengtien (“Pee Nak” comedy-horror movie series) and Pantipa Arunwattanachai (“Oh My Ghost: The Finale”). Opening only in cinemas starting today, June 4, “Don’t Sleep” is rated R-16.

Director Chookiat “Matthew” Sakveerakul embarks on his most ambition project with “Taklee Genesis x Worlds Collide”

Throughout his career, Savkeerakul has made films that are considered Thai cinema milestones. His 2007 romance film “The Love of Siam,” dominated in all local film events of that year, bagging the Best film awards in every major competition. In “Taklee Genesis x Worlds Collide,” he pivots into the realm of sci-fi. “To begin with, I love sci-fi movies. Having read articles about the world, universe, space and different dimensions, I find that they’re as mysterious as ghost stories,” he says.
