In 2017, Pirates of the Caribbean returns after a six-year absence. No details on its plot yet but it will be subtitled “Dead Men Tell No Tales.” As for the cast, Johnny Depp is definitely returning as Jack Sparrow with Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Orlando Bloom as Will Turner with newcomers Javier Bardem (Skyfall) as the villainous Captain Salazar, Brenton Thwaites (Gods of Egypt) and Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner) as new characters.
But Deadline is reporting that they’ve added another star to do some additional shooting, one of the members of “The Beatles” band, Paul McCartney.
There are currently no details yet on McCartney’s character (A pirate, maybe?) or how his character will play in the story.
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” arrives in cinemas May 2017 from Walt Disney Studios, directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg (“Kontiki”)
