Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Jason Paul Laxamana (‘Magkakabaung,’ ‘Mercury is Mine’), Bakwit Boys stars young actors Vance Larena, Nikko Seagal Natividad, Ryle Paolo Santiago, Mackie Empuerto with Devon Seron.
The film is a coming of age romance musical about a family band composed of four brothers who take refuge in their grandfather’s distant village after their hometown is devastated by a super typhoon. As they wait for the rehabilitation of their hometown, they struggle to bring back music in their lives.
The film will feature original songs by Jhaye Cura of the Mernuts band.
