“Rampage” Review: Highly Entertaining Monster Movie

RAMPAGE (2018) Review
Directed by Brad Peyton

Dwayne Johnson continues to prove that every big movie he stars in, the action will be bigger.

While the film has a weird way of shifting from serious action to comedy, Rampage definitely doesn’t have a dull moment. It builds up this end-of-the-world momentum with a series of events that leads to a gathering of the biggest monsters the film has.

Dwayne Johnson leads the film with enough action, enough drama and enough comedy. It is his brand of movies that the audience loves and seeing him go up against monsters is something worth spending for.

We get a Godizlla movie that’s even more destructive, even more action-packed. And what I liked about the film more than other monster movies is that it doesn’t have unnecessary dramas, it’s just straightforward in getting into the action, in getting to fixing the problem. Yes, there are cheesy moments but I consider those as breathers to the big action sequences the film offers.

Rampage is a perfect popcorn flick that goes a little bit more on violence and it definitely have more than one moment that you’ll enjoy.
