Watching Kelvin Miranda and Mikee Quintos in ‘The Lost Recipe’ was like seeing the tandem we never knew we wanted. Because out of nowhere, young actors that haven’t worked together yet clicked in a special project that made the pandemic experience a little lighter and a little better.
But what did they think of each other prior meeting personally? I asked the two which show or movie did they saw the other for the first time and what were their thoughts:
It’s good, magaling siya. Hindi ko talaga inaasahan na magkakatrabaho kami.”
Mikee: “First project na napanood ko si Kelvin is ‘yung Dead Kids. Even before that naman, naririnig ko na ‘yung name niya kasi same manager kami. Malalim ‘tong taong ‘to, no doubt.’ It’s just not possible. And na-excite ako maka-trabaho ‘yung ganun.”
And because of ‘The Lost Recipe’ Kelvin and Mikee formed more than just a love team in a hit fantasy romance series, but also a partnership that produced a song.
‘Two of a Kind,’ perhaps this describes Kelvin and Mikee as who they are: two, completely different people who the industry found to be surprisingly good together for a project made something some may call magic.
