Julie Anne San Jose, David Licauco surprised and happy for Heartful Cafe’s move from GTV to GMA

As early as December 2020, Julie Anne San Jose and David Licauco was revealed to be working together in the romantic drama series Heartful Cafe. GTV was still not launched at that time so people are expecting it to be shown on GMA 7. But when GMA’s sister channel GTV was launch in February 2021, Heartful Cafe along with other shows was reported to be premiering on the channel.

There’s nothing wrong with GTV, its first produced full-length series The Lost Recipe was really good, but we know that being shown on GMA 7 will get your show more reach.

That’s why it’s big news that GMA decided to put Heartful Cafe on GMA 7 and notably on its primetime block.

What was Julie Anne and David’s reaction on this big move?

David: “Siyempre super happy and grateful kasi GTV is a very promising channel but obviously, we all know na mas malaki ang viewership (ng GMA). Grateful kasi lahat kami mas maipapakita namin ‘yung abilities and talents namin. So, supper happy and thankful.”

Julie Anne: “Surprised kami and sobrang natuwa talaga kami. Kasi ang ganda din talaga ng content namin and katulad ng sinabi ni David, mas madami pa makakapanood ng Heartful Cafe and mas madami makakasubaybay ng story.”

And when asked if her character Heart would matchmake herself (Julie Anne) and David? Julie Anne just answered, “yeah! I mean why not?”

‘Heartful Cafe’ premieres April 26 on GMA Network after First Yaya. It also stars Ayra Mariano, Victor Anastacio, Zonia Mejia, Jamir Zabarte and Edgar Allan Guzman.
