MANILA, Philippines – Aligned with its corporate credo to deliver TraDigital entertainment for all, Kroma Entertainment, Inc. is introducing its trailblazing creative business units: ANIMA and Secret Menu.
Earlier this year, Filipino entertainment production house Globe Studios announced its rebrand, shifting into ANIMA, Kroma Entertainment Inc.’s film production studio.
ANIMA boasts of highly-acclaimed films such as “Fan Girl,” “Kuwaresma,” “Last Song Syndrome (LSS),” “Hintayan ng Langit,” “Dead Kids,” and “GOYO: Ang Batang Heneral,” all of which leverage on being creator-focused and bold. This also extends to online platforms, as series like “Gaya Sa Pelikula (Like In The Movies),” “Hello K-Idol”, “Disney Dream Big Princess,” and “OTJ 8: The Series” blur the lines between genres.
Recently, ANIMA brought us “Kun Maupay Man It Panahon” (Whether The Weather is Fine), which earned plum awards at the 70th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards last July 30, 2022: the Best Actress award for ABS-CBN executive Charo Santos’ performance, and the Best Production Design award. It was also nominated in 10 other categories, including Best Picture.
In August, the upcoming 2022 Cinemalaya Philippines Film Festival will also headline ANIMA’s Sundance award-winning film “Leonor Will Never Die” (Filipino title: Ang Pagbabalik ng Kwago), which will mark its homecoming premiere in the Philippines, and ANIMA Short Film Lab’s “City of Flowers,” which will compete under the festival’s short film category.
For its audio-centered division, ANIMA Podcasts, an extensive network of creators, brands, and platforms come together to develop engaging audio series that cater to different audiences.
Its current roster of regular shows include Spotify Exclusives “Paano Ba ‘To?!” by celebrity host Bianca Gonzalez; “The Karen Davila Podcast,” a limited series by news anchor Karen Davila, and “The Linya-Linya Show,” a comedy talk show by Linya-Linya founder Ali Sangalang. Other names in its podcast roster include film director Quark Henares, writer Ramon de Veyra, host and radio DJ Riki Flores-Reyes, and YouTube K-content creator Kring Kim. It also offers podcast ideation and production for brands and creatives.
Finishing off the brand’s transformation is the full-service creative video agency Secret Menu, which prioritizes inclusivity among all its content that spans across all aspects of video content creation.
Its services include branded content solutions, commercials, live videos, event coverage, and music videos.
