MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – DEAD RECKONING, PART ONE (2023) Review
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie
True to its title, Mission: Impossible -Dead Reckoning, Part One is an operation for Ethan Hunt and his team that seems impossible to successfully finish. But Tom Cruise isn’t your ordinary action star, he wants grand action sequences that will not just entertain you or put you on the edge of your seats but will also blow your mind.
Every installment, Tom Cruise and his team has this goal that they need to top what they did in the previous one and true enough, they manage to present harder and harder stunts for Cruise to perform and it’s like he’s not complaining. It looks as if he really wanted to push everything more.
You would expect Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Part One to end on a cliffhanger but it didn’t. Yes, there were questions unanswered but the story itself is satisfying, the stunts were beyond what you can imagine and the performances were top notch. This is action adventure at its highest quality.
One of the things we’ve also noticed after watching the film is that the women in this movie are just gorgeous and their chemistry with Cruise is just insane. That’s why every scene worked, every action sequences were smooth and every big stress-inducing stunts will make an impact.
It’s the kind of the film best seen in the biggest screen possible. It’s highly-entertaining, the production made sure that you get the best out of your money and you’ll just leave the cinema wanting more.
Cruise is on his 60s now, but I’m sure I don’t want him to retire from doing these films. At least for now.
