High-energy performances from Gary V and his guests and high-energy reactions from the audiences, all I can say is Gary V’s last hurrah as a performer is definitely one for the books!
It’s hard to choose which performance was my favorite but what the entirety of the concert made me feel even after leaving the Mall of Asia Arena is more than enough to be inspired, to be touched and to be thankful that I get to witness Mr. Gary V perform live. The ‘Pure Energy: One Last Time’ is how he showcases his legacy, what he will leave behind, what people will talk about him, what the coming generations will learn about him.
It’s true when they say “do what you can do now before it’s too late.” And maybe that’s what Mr. Gary V is doing – perform at his best while he still can.
But what he showed in his concert at 59? That’s already amazing. Even I, at 34, don’t know if I could keep up with what he is doing for more than three hours. He can keep up with the voices of Erik Santos, Jona, Julie Anne San Jose and with the dance moves of his son Gab, Darren, Rayver Cruz, AC Bonifacio, and even his nephew and niece Gio and Lianna Martinez.
But apart from the sing and dance performances, I was in awe with the stage. It was well-used by the three-hour concert and how it was used was at times ingenious.
I’m probably not alone at saying people should not miss on witnessing the legacy of one Gary Valenciano in one concert. So, if you need some convincing, this is me convincing you to watch a show-stopper making his audience feel their money’s worth in a three-hour concert with guests that will either make your heart warm or make your feet move.
