Online personality Joel Ravanera, widely known as “Malupiton,” is making the leap to the big screen in He’s Dating a Bold Star, an upcoming romantic comedy about a regular guy who falls for someone living in a completely different world.

In the film, Malupiton plays Jeboy—an easygoing, cheerful guy whose quiet life takes a sudden turn when he meets Kit (Analyn Barro). What starts as an easy friendship quickly turns into a deeper connection as Kit brings fresh energy and excitement into Jeboy’s simple daily routine.
However, Kit leads a life far different from Jeboy’s. She works as a performer in adult-content films, a detail Jeboy is unaware of at first. As his feelings grow, he is forced to navigate the public scrutiny, harsh judgments, and complicated realities that come with loving someone in the spotlight. Jeboy soon realizes that falling in love might be far more complex than he bargained for.
Known for his funny, down-to-earth content that appeals to a wide online audience, Malupiton brings his signature humor to the cinema. His character, Jeboy, is an everyday guy trying to figure out the confusing, hilarious, and sometimes difficult parts of modern romance.
He’s Dating a Bold Star represents a major step in Malupiton’s career. Produced by NKO Films and directed by comedy filmmaker Niokz Arcega, the movie also features appearances from Malupiton’s close friends and regular collaborators.
