“Alam kong hindi kami ready. Hindi ko rin masasabi kung kailan kami ready pero kung ano man ang iaadya ng tadhana, we’ll never know,” that’s how Kelvin Miranda answers the what ifs on his and Kira Balinger’s chances together after a toss coin during the media conference of their first film together, ‘Chances Are You & I.’
‘Chances Are You & I’ is the first offering of PM or Pocket Media Productions, Inc. starring Kelvin Miranda and Kira Balinger with Al Tantay, Tart Carlos, Anne Feo, Gian Magdangal and introducing Jinho Bae. Directed by Catherine O. Camarillo.
The film tells the story between Soleil “SOL” Sikat and Gabriel “GABI” Sinag with polar opposite philosophies in life and death. As they discover how strangely similar they are yet so different, their intriguing encounter with each other would lead them to an adventure based on a flip of a coin. Two strangers with similar sickness found themselves questioning if life will ever be happy when the risk of impending death is near. As an act of resignation to their fate, they decide to take a journey to find happiness.
Kelvin talks about their movie
“Harapin ang mga bagay na kinakatakutan. ‘Wag matakot sa kamatayan kasi lahat naman dadating din dun and lahat ng ito ay hiram lang natin pansamantala. ‘Yun ang natutunan ko sa pelikula. ‘Yung kinakatakutan nating ang pumipigil sa atin para mag-grow as a person. Forget about your fears and kailangan mong harapin ang kinakatakutan mo,” that’s what Kelvin shares on what their upcoming movie, ‘Chances Are, You & I’ is about.
“Memorable sa akin ang project na ‘to kasi hindi ko pa na-experience maramdaman na parang mamamatay ka na. Na-overcome ko ang fears ko,” Kelvin continues.
How did Kelvin find his leading lady in the film?
“Generous and professional. Meron siyang respeto sa direksyon ng direktor at sa mga co-actors niya. Meron siyang respeto sa kung ano man ‘yung kalalabasan ng eksena which is may guidance ni direk Catherine,” Kelvin answers.
‘Chances Are, You & I’ opens in Philippine cinemas on May 29, 2024.
