A pairing we never knew we wanted. From different networks, GMA Network’s Kelvin Miranda and ABS-CBN’s Kira Balinger have come a long way and is out to prove they are worthy of being the lead stars of their own romantic story on the big screen.
Kelvin Miranda portrays Sol Sikat, a young man burdened with a brain tumor and a bleak outlook on life. Haunted by loss and impending mortality, Sol lives in a state of weary resignation. Kira Balinger brings to life Gabi Sinag, Sol’s opposite – a vibrant soul who radiates optimism despite her tumor diagnosis. Gabi’s spirit refuses to be extinguished by the reality of her illness, as she chases every chance for joy and dreams of a normal life.
After seeing the film during its premiere night, you won’t doubt the star appeal of the two leads. Kelvin’s mysterious but approachable charm made him the perfect Sol and Kira’s bubbly and optimistic vibe matches Gabi’s character well.
But there’s more than just the kilig. Chances Are, You & I also tackles how to deal with life and death and the layers that goes with them. You can feel how immersed the two lead actors are with their characters. You can feel their sincerity in every scene.
