I was overwhelmed by the lines outside Viva Cafe when I arrived for the VIP Exclusive mini concert of the Ppop group CLOUD 7. It will be my first time watching them perform live but I’ve read many positive things about them. But seeing what they’ve achieved for being active for just a year, and seeing how young they are, I mean, their ages range from 13 years old to 17 years old, I was thinking what the heck was I doing when I was that young?
But talent and passion for performing are innate for these kids and when the lights turn off and the sounds went on is a proof of that.
Meet Cloud 7 members Lukas, Johann, Egypt, Kairo, Migz, PJ and Fian:
How does it feel to finally have their own show?
“Syempre tuwang-tuwa po kami kasi ‘yung first mini concert namin is sold out agad in just two days. Dun po namin naramdaman na iba magmahal ang mga Rainbows (their fandom name). Siyempre natutuwa po kami at ibibigay namin sa performance namin ‘yung best namin para mabalik naman namin sa kanila,” answers group leader Lukas.
What were their preparations for their mini concert?
”Nag-practice po kami, iniisip din po namin ‘yung tamang solo songs na magma-match sa personality and character namin.”
Memorable encounter with their fans
“Mga mall shows po namin. Fan-signing events kasi dun po kami nagkakaroon ng chance maka-interact ang mga fans at mas makilala sila.”
But how were they discovered and how was Cloud 7 formed?
“Dumaan din po kami sa trainings, ‘yung iba na-scout sa mall. Naisipan ng management na gumawa ng isang group, actually dapat banda lang na kumakanta pero nag-decide na maging Ppop kasi ‘yun ang mas nagki-click ngayon.”
Considering their age and how pop groups train, how was it like for them?
“Siguro po sa age namin, hindi namin masasabi na super lala ng training namin pero siyempre step by step, nagiging intense ‘yung training namin. Pero para sa amin nagiging mahirap na din kasi pinagsasabay namin ‘yung studies namin and personal life pero all throughout, naba-balance naman namin.”
How involved are they with their music?
“Sa choreography po, nakakaisip kami ng choreography tapos kami naga-apply sa dance namin.”
Migz already started his acting career, what about the others?
“Kung bibigyan naman po ng opportunity, we will take it and we will be grateful. Pero as of now, proud na proud kami kay Miguel kasi nasa Pulang Araw siya. Siyempre hindi lang ‘yung bandera ng Cloud 7 ang dinadala niya pero pati ‘yung sarili niyang pangarap.”
These seven teens are definitely promising. With their talents, looks, the support of their fans, and also worth mentioning is their humility, they will definitely go a long way.
