It’s been more than fourteen years since its debut on Philippine television. From Amy Perez aka Tyang Amy on its pilot episode, to Gelli de Bellen and to Karla Estrada, television has always room for the entertainment and information the show offers. Face to Face, now Face to Face Harapan with its newest host, award-winning journalist Korina Sanchez aka ate Koring will take the seat of being the host and her colleagues in the show agree that she is by far the perfect personality to host the newest season of the show.
Makikita mo talaga na it’s a work of a journalist rather than an entertainment host,” shares Dra. Camille Garcia during the media launch of Face to Face Harapan.
So can she say that Korina Sanchez is the perfect host for Face to Face Harapan?
“Oo.
Kasi ‘yung emosyon nila very raw, kaya I said this is the mirror of true poverty in this country. Maraming mga bagay ang pwedeng matutunan and I think this is a great vehicle para matuto ang mga tao how to resolve problems,” ate Koring on the importance of the show Face to Face Harapan.
“It’s very different working with a real journalist. Iba ‘yung working with an artista, iba ‘yung working with experienced. Ms. Korina Sanchez has made a mark for herself alone, trying to solve people’s problems. But in the end it is ate Koring who listens to all the payo and relates it to the actual case situations tapos siya ‘yung nagge-gel. So, maganda ang format ng program because, it’s probably because she has more experience as a journalist, she is able to come out with what is right, what is wrong, what is shallow, what is deep. ‘Yung totoong problema. And nagpapasalamat ako sa TV5, sa programa naming Face to Face because as a lawyer, I’ve been practicing for 46 years, at talagang ine-encourage ng Supreme Court ang barangay settlement. Camille, and ako, but all of our seperate experiences come together with ate Koring. Of course, there’s Donita which is the comic relief of the show,” Atty. Lorna Kapunan on why Korina Sanchez is the perfect host for Face to Face.
Face to Face Harapan airs Mondays to Fridays, 4PM before Wil to Win on TV5 and will have re-run on One PH at 9PM.
