Entrepreneur, producer and performer Garth Garcia back in PH for birthday concert, shares “passion” made him stick with music

“Garth Garcia The Birthday Concert, one in Manila on January 4th and one in Los Angeles, California, USA on January 31st but my actual birthday is on January 28,” Fil-Am Prince of Pop Garth Garcia shares details on his birthday concert.

His birthday concert in the Philippines will happen this Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Aromata in Quezon City, 8PM with guest performances from Lucho B., Angel R., 4th Impact, Thor D. and Wize Estabillo.

“Nag-homecoming concert na ako but this one, biglaan, I was already in Japan, so punta na din ako ng Pilipinas to celebrate my birthday. Nandito din ibang family ko and friends, parang reunion na din. Not too formal of a concert,” he continues.

Garth shares he started his love for music as a choir member when he was a child. I think most Filipinos raised in a conservative family can relate to how being active in church honed our skills in singing just like Garth. He then joined the reality singing competition ‘Star in A Million’ in ABS-CBN in 2006 where he became one of the finalists.

After that, Garth signed with Ivory Music and released his self-titled debut album in 2014.

In 2017, Garth created a name for himself in the music industry in the United States of America as he pursued his passion in the music. From ballad songs, he started releasing EDM music including his singles ‘Without You,’ ‘Kick It’ and Together Again’ where he collaborated with Grammy nominated duo The Klubjumpers.

“Some of the songs na ni-release ko from my first album, mga songs na ni-release when I was in the US. Most of my songs are EDM, Electronic Dance Music.”

He now lives in the USA with his wife, doing business in the medical field. But what makes him stick with music with all the possibilities he have outside the entertainment business?

“Sabi nga nila, you cannot escape your passion. Kahit na may business kami, you can’t escape something you love doing.”

Garth on his 2024 and 2025

“This year, napasama sa mga unforgettable shows. The ASAP show was like 12,000 capacity and it was sold out and also with GMA, madami kaming ginawa this year and ‘yung music video ko ng ‘Always in My Head,’ it was nominated sa tatlong music festival sa America. A lot of out-of-town shows, all weekends wala ako sa LA, I was always flying out.”

“2025 naman, I have to rest more but we have magagandang project in 2025. We’re already planning but this time, more of relaxation,” Garth shares.
