Who wouldn’t be happy when you’re part of a growing family of artists in a sitcom series? David Chua, Bayani Agbayani and Raymond Bagatsing are celebrating for the fifth season of their sitcom series ‘GoodWill,’ which airs every Sunday on NET25.
In 2023, the inspirational comedy series ‘GoodWill’ was launched with only a few characters and a more focused story about the GoodWill resort. But as time goes by, as new seasons come and they’re now on their fifth one, more characters and more storylines open for the show to prosper and to cater to more audiences of the genre.
“From season one, kasama ko na si kuya Raymond,” shares David Chua who plays Lloyd, the lead character of GoodWill.
“Ako, season 2,” Bayani shares. “Tsaka ang ganda nito, ang lalaki ng mga artista na nagge-guest sa amin,” Bayani continues.
“Every episode ata, may mga cameos na pumapasok. Mga Piolo Pascual, Sylvia Sanchez, Sunshine Cruz, Jake Cuenca, JM de Guzman, madami nang pumasok,” David answers.
“Ang nakakatuwa kasi, talagang si Ms. Korina Sanchez-Roxas kasi ang producer. Hindi kami tinitipid, bigay todo. Tsaka napaka-sarap mag-tapiing sa resort. Parang nagbabakasyon ka lang, kumikita ka pa,” Bayani enthusiastically shares.
But among them three, Bayani is the veteran comedian. How was it acting with his non-comedian co-actors in the series?
“Ay nako, meron pong Smokey Manaloto po ito. Si Smokey kasabay ni Moses ‘yan diba?” Bayani jokes. “Ang ginagawa ko kasi kinakaibigan ko sila para mawala ‘yung wall, para pagdating sa eksena magbabatuhan lang kami. Magkwe-kwentuhan lang kami off cam, magagamit namin ‘yun on cam kasi kapag hindi kayo nag-bonding bago magtrabaho, mahirap talaga ‘yun. Kaya kami ganun, bago matulog, kwentuhan muna, kahit walang taping nagkikita kami. Ako na ‘yung gumagawa ng paraan para magkasama sama kami,” Bayani answers.
Does Bayani’s involvement make David confident with the comedy of GoodWill?
“Kasi nandyan si kuya Bayani eh. Andyan si Smokey, andyan si Kakai Bautista. Nadadala na. Tsaka ‘yung comedy nila, wala sa script. Kumbaga binabali nila ‘yung script, mas natural kausap.”
What happens when they blurt out funny comments not on the script?
“Matatawa ka na lang talaga. ‘Yun po ‘yung totoong comedy hindi sa script ‘yung comedy eh,” David answers.
