Nestor Cuartero and Evylene “Bing” Advincula replaced Jerry Talavera, who finished his term, and Michael Luke Mejares, who resigned on November 11, 2025, respectively.

Cuartero is a veteran and multi-awarded journalist with decades of experience in the media industry. He was an educator for over 20 years under the Department of Communication and Media Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Letters in University of Sto. Tomas.

Advincula served as an executive officer at Robinsons Movieworld and was a Board Member of the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP).

She brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in cinema operations and industry relations to the MTRCB.

Sotto expressed confidence the members will bring valuable insights and strengthen the Agency’s mandate.

“I am confident that they will help further strengthen the MTRCB’s commitment to responsible viewing, industry collaboration and public trust,” Sotto said. “We thank President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. for entrusting the MTRCB with leaders who bring integrity, expertise and a deep understanding of the media and film industry.”

Sotto likewise thanked the outgoing Board Members for their service and dedication to the Agency.

“We are deeply grateful to Misters Talavera and Mejares for their contributions. Their service has helped advance the MTRCB’s mission, and we wish them success in their future endeavors,” she said.
