MANILA, Philippines (August 12, 2026) — Disney+ has officially announced that renowned Korean producer Hyun Jeongwan is bringing his signature high-tension reality television to the streaming platform later this year with Deadly Tag.
Marking Hyun’s OTT debut, the groundbreaking survival series brings together a diverse lineup of Korean competitors—ranging from former Navy SEALs and professional athletes to top YouTubers, actors, and reality stars. Contestants will go head-to-head in demanding physical and mental trials, relying heavily on psychological strategy to outsmart rival players and avoid elimination.

Hyun, best known for creating the hit series Bloody Game and its global spin-offs, is co-producing the project alongside Sohn Taeho and Kim Jihyeong. Designed as their most ambitious project to date, Deadly Tag will feature massive immersive sets and repurposed abandoned structures to deliver relentless twists for both the players and viewers at home.
The upcoming launch expands Disney+’s growing roster of unscripted Korean originals. The platform currently streams a variety of competitive series, including:
- Battle of Fates — A supernatural reality show pitting 49 fortune tellers and fate readers against one another.
- I Am Boxer — A high-octane competition featuring 90 contenders vying to become the country’s next boxing sensation.
- The Zone: Survival Mission — A fan-favorite comedic survival show starring Yu Jaeseok, Kwon Yuri, Dex, and Kim Donghyun.
Deadly Tag will premiere exclusively on Disney+ later this year, with further details to be announced soon.
