The inspiration behind the breezy, bossa nova-infused track came during a period of recovery—and a gentle push from her heart.
“I remember writing this song. It was one of those days na nagkasakit ako,” San Jose revealed. “Parang ilang araw akong nagkasakit tapos habang gumagaling ako, parang gusto kong magsulat ng songs. And then, all I could think of was really getting better, writing new music, and I also had Rayver [Cruz] in my mind. Parang siya ‘yung inspiration ko sa song.”
Stepping outside her comfort zone, San Jose crafted a relaxed, modern vibe for “Saglit Lang” that showcases a more intimate, jazzy dimension of her artistry—proving that whether fans are looking back at her classics or tuning into her latest era, her musical evolution remains as compelling as ever.
