Kris Aquino Takes the Editing Wheel as Netflix’s C.H.I.K.A.

She isn’t called “The Queen of All Media” for nothing. Fresh off her first official day as Netflix’s Chief Head of Insights and Kontent Analysis (C.H.I.K.A.), Kris Aquino is already proving that her creative instinct spans well beyond the microphone.

Following a minor communication mishap with Earljohn, Aquino decided to take matters into her own hands—literally—by locking herself in the editing suite to fine-tune a brand-new lineup of films. Injecting her signature flair and what she calls “a little extra oomph,” the media icon personally re-cut key scenes from Call Me Mother, Shake Rattle and Roll: Evil Origins, Manila’s Finest, and Ganito, Ganyan, at Ganoon.

The result is a fresh, hilarious layer of polish applied to every clip. Whether navigating the high stakes of a dramedy, the tension of a period crime piece, or classic horror scares, Aquino demonstrates that her sharp instincts transcend standard genre boundaries.

Dramedy, horror, or crime? As the Netflix C.H.I.K.A. famously puts it: “Game na!”
