RICKI AND THE FLASH (2015) Review
Directed by Jonathan Demme
Aside from Meryl Streep being awesome as always which is the main attraction here (in every film she stars, actually), Ricki and The Flash is ordinary and predictable. There’s a lot of charm and likeable sequences here that would make the film pleasant to watch.
There’s a weird mixture of family drama and how women are perceived in a profession where men are mostly pictured. But you get to be entertained with something that has a heart even though you feel like you’re revisiting a very familiar story.
Our rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Ricki and the Flash is now showing exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas from Columbia Pictures Philippines. Rated PG by the MTRCB.
