ME AND EARL AND THE DYING GIRL (2015) Review
Directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon
Embracing the awkwardness in a deeply moving tale of friendship. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl may be light for some but its emotions are encaged as the characters are in their sensitive phase of their lives. The story is as beautiful as the pictures, telling a tragic story in a unique and fresh way.
Thomas Mann and Olivia Cooke shines gracefully as they portray the modern teenagers dealing with life and all its unfortunate events. It’s never short in wit and charm but it also brings out the needed warmth for each characters to be felt.
