MOVIE REVIEW: The Intern (2015)

The Intern

THE INTERN (2015) Review
Directed by Nancy Meyers

Watching a Nancy Meyers film makes you feel like you’re meeting new people, The Intern is not an exception. The film is sweet, charming, funny and heartfelt. You’ll just sit back, relax and enjoy the film literally. Anne Hathaway is engaging and seasoned as Jules and Robert De Niro is absolutely charming and heartwarming as Ben. The film is formulaic but in a good way, it has a smooth sailing narrative that the ups and downs felt natural.

The surprise here is De Niro’s character’s depth. There are a lot of attempt for giving a character a moment but in here, it’s subtle but deep and touching. It’s hard to tell what it lacks as it may affect how the story goes but it has all you need for a relaxing and enjoyable time at the movies.
