THE LAST WITCH HUNTER (2015) Review
Directed by Breck Eisner
While the story says it’s original, it did copy from familiar films from the same genre. The Last Witch Hunter is unnecessarily dark, twisted and romantic. Vin Diesel is in his usual acting though at times he tries, but it hardly matters. The film can be fun but it is that type of which you won’t expect too much as it is just a popcorn flick. Watch it for the action and visual effects (which are actually surprisingly efficient) and don’t expect much more.
You’ll probably watch it because you’re a fan of Vin Diesel, and it might not disappoint you as you can see a slightly different Vin Diesel in this film. The story is predictable but it can be fun occasionally as it slip some weird and awkward humor in it. Elijah Wood and Michael Caine doesn’t do much in here, Vin Diesel is obviously the star and Rose Leslie adds her charm. Don’t look forward to a heartfelt story or amazing action sequences and you might just enjoy it better than anybody.
