Anthony Hopkins Joins ‘Transformers: The Last Knight,’ First Look at the New Bumblebee

Latest news on the fifth installment of the Transformers franchise, Sir Anthony Hopkins (Thor, The Silence of the Lambs) joins Mark Wahlberg and Josh Duhamel among other stars of the hit robot-smashing series.

Meanwhile, director Michael Bay has unveiled the first official photo of Bumblebee for Transformers: The Last Knight, revealing his new vehicle mode, and as you can see, General Motors has once again custom-built a yellow Chevrolet Camaro for Bumblebee. Gorgeous!

Bumblebee is the lovable Autobot that lost the ability to speak when his voice box got damaged during a battle. He communicates by using popular audio clips via his radio. When he transforms into a car he takes the form of a yellow Ford Mustang. In the first three films he developed a close bond to Sam Witwicky. In the last film, he continue to be a human protector, making sure to keep the Yeager family out of harm’s way.

The cast of Transformers: The Last Knight will feature Mark Wahlberg (“Planet of the Apes”) as Cade Yeager, Isabela Moner (“100 Things To Do Before High School”) as Izabella, Josh Duhamel (“Life as We Know It”) as Lieutenant Colonel William Lennox, Jerrod Carmichael (“Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising”), Anthony Hopkins (“Thor: The Dark World”), and of course, Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime.

Michael Bay, who has directed the previous four films in Paramount and Hasbro’sTransformers film franchise (grossed $3.77 billion at the global box office), returns to direct the fifth installment. The film was written by a trio of screenwriters: Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Ken Nolan.

Transformers: The Last Knight is set for release June 2017.
