It’s an extra special and fun New Year as Star Cinema opens 2017 with Extra Service – a sexy action-adventure for the whole family to enjoy!
Directed by Chris Martinez, who is widely known for his quirky and irreverent films such as Here Comes The Bride and Kimmy Dora and The Kyemeng Prequel as well as the groundbreaking indie flick Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank, which he wrote; and written by Alpha Habon, whose most notable recent work is the mega-blockbuster hit The Super Parental Guardians; Extra Service brings together Coleen Garcia, Jessy Mendiola and Arci Munoz, who are arguably three of the sexiest and hottest actresses in the industry today.
The film is centered on the amazing adventures of Aw (Garcia), Em (Munoz) and Gee (Mendiola), who are mild-mannered massage therapists by day and solve crime as sexy secret agents by night. As the crime fighting #SexySquad, Aw, Em and Gee are tasked to embarked on a top-level secret mission to retrieve the precious “Perlas ng Silanganan” in exchange for their lives and freedom.
It should be noted that this is the very first big-screen collaboration between Coleen, Arci and Jessy, who are all certified cover girls and epitomes of “girl power” based on their individual achievements as actresses.
Coleen first gained mainstream recognition after starring on the teen, dance musical, drama anthology Good Vibes in 2011. Her stint on that show was followed by a consistent string of TV appearances, most notably on It’s Showtime where she became a regular host, and starring roles on such series as Little Champ (2013) and Pasion de Amor (2015 – 2016). Coleen was also featured in a handful of movies such as the independent film #Y (2014), and the commercially successful Ex With Benefits (2015) and Love Me Tomorrow (2016) – all under Star Cinema.
Arci took the industry by storm with her riveting performance on ABS-CBN’s top-rating afternoon series Pasion de Amor, and the recently concluded primetime series Magpahanggang Wakas where she stars opposite critically acclaimed actor Jericho Rosales. Arci also debuted in Star Cinema in an unforgettable supporting role in the smash blockbuster hit A Second Chance in 2015, and followed up the following year in a starring role partnered with Gerald Anderson in Dan Villegas’ Always Be My Maybe.
Jessy is a homegrown talent of ABS-CBN and she currently holds the prestigious and coveted title of being FHM Philippines’ “Sexiest Woman in the Philippines.” Jessy took the iconic title role of Maria Mercedes from 2013 to 2014 – a role that was made popular by international telenovela queen, Thalia, and she also starred on the primetime series You’re My Home. She is currently one of the mainstays of the comedy gag show Banana Sundae, which airs on ABS-CBN during Sunday afternoon. Jessy also appeared in a string of movies under Star Cinema which include The Reunion (2012), Call Center Girl (2013) and The Trial (2014), as well as the StarFlix-produced mobile series Must Date The Playboy – the very first mobile series of ABS-CBN mobile.
Playing their love interest in the movie are three of today’s hottest actors: Enzo Pineda and Vin Abrenica – who marks their very first film project under Star Cinema and Skylight Films, and Ejay Flacon.
