Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts

It was a bit hard to top Peter Jackson’s remake of the monster movie King Kong, from caliber performances to top-notch visuals, the film entertains and thrills from start to finish. But Kong: Skull Island isn’t backing down, because it brought the right ingredients in making a monster blockbuster film you can enjoy from start to finish.

It’s a monster adventure that packs thrilling sequences and surprises that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Not only that it boasts marvelous actors, the CGI of the film is life-like, and how the camera moves with its subjects are not hard to follow.

Like its titular character, the film’s scope is big, the story building its own territory, its own world. And as the characters enter Skull Island, the action, the tension, the adventure electrifies the cinema. It’s non-stop genuine entertainment that does not overdo the drama needed in the film or the action sequences.

Kong: Skull Island is why we love monster movies. Its message is clear as its intention to entertain.
