Toni Gonzaga to star in Philippine Adaptation of ‘My Sassy Girl’

TinCan Films announced yesterday, January 20, its newest project starring Toni Gonzaga – the Philippine adaptation of the hit South Korean rom-com movie ‘My Sassy Girl.’

My Sassy Girl is a 2001 romantic comedy movie from South Korea starring Cha Tae Hyun (Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds) as Gyun Woo and Jun Ji Hyun (My Love from the Star, The Legend of the Blue Sea) as The Sassy Girl. The film is directed by Kwak Jae Yong (Windstruck).

Synopsis: Gyun Woo is a college student, more interested in picking up girls, drinking with his buddies and avoiding his nagging mother whenever possible. While riding the subway, a drunken girl then changes his fate forever. She’s nearly unconscious on the train and vomits on an older guy. She then leans over to Gyun Woo and everybody assumes she is his girlfriend! Gyun Woo soon finds himself in a relationship he didn’t ask for, but soon unable to forget this sassy girl.
