‘Maledicto,’ ‘CaraXJagger,’ ‘Babae at Baril,’ ‘So It’s You’ coming to Netflix

Four Filipino films are coming to streaming giant Netflix this June 3rd.

Maledicto – June 3

Maledicto stars Tom Rodriguez as Father Xavi, a former psychologist who becomes a skeptical exorcist following the tragic death of his sister, Mara (played by Inah de Belen). He meets Sister Barbie (played by Jasmine Curtis-Smith), a young nun who has the gift of charism. Together, they face the case of Agnes (Miles Ocampo), a seemingly perfect teenager who starts manifesting demonic behaviour that rocks the foundations of the church.

CaraXJagger – June 3

A love story between a couple, Cara and Jagger. Cara has a special condition of super sharp memory that makes her remember the details of events. Jagger, on the other hand, is Cara’s ex-boyfriend who has amnesia. Cara is then hired by Jagger’s grandfather to care for him and make him remember things about his past.

Babae at Baril – June 3

The protagonist is a saleslady in a local department store. Her everyday life is composed of an exhausting commute home. She deals with the manager who always seems to have something to say about her physical state; her co-worker, Ted who is obviously interested in her but can’t take a hint; and from the catcallers near where she lives. When she finally gets home, there’s no one there but her roommate who couldn’t care less about her. All that is about to change when she reaches the gate to her boarding house and finds a peculiar looking gun right on her doorstep. Suddenly, she can do anything she wants, talk back to whoever she wants, and even hurt anyone she wants.
