Ahead of its September 16 theatrical release, the team behind Edjop—the highly anticipated biopic of 1970s youth activist Edgar Jopson—is taking its promotional tour directly to Philippine universities. Through the youth-led Edjop Campus Conversations, the filmmakers and cast aim to foster genuine dialogue with students across the country rather than hosting a traditional press junket.
The long-awaited independent biopic “EDJOP” has finally secured a path to the big screen. Chronicling the life of Edgar “Edjop” Jopson, the iconic student leader and Martial Law–era activist, the film is set to open in cinemas nationwide on September 16, 2026. This wide release comes courtesy of a major distribution deal with Warner Bros. Pictures Philippines, marking a massive win for a project that spent half a decade in development.

The final day of filming for the highly anticipated feature film EDJOP will take place this October in Ateneo de Manila University, transforming the Loyola Heights campus into the stage for one of the most ambitious sequences in Philippine cinema: the historic First Quarter Storm rallies of 1970.

‘Uninvited’ delivers what is promised – a suspenseful story of revenge with performances unlike anything from its cast, led by Vilma Santos. It’s not perfect, having a non-linear story makes the first half of the film a bit rocky. But nevertheless, it didn’t affect its thrilling climax.
