Real-life married couple EA Guzman and Shaira Diaz-Guzman are set to light up the silver screen together in MAVX Production’s newest family film, BUDDY, hitting nationwide theaters on November 4, 2026.
Directed by Lucky Blanco, BUDDY features an all-star supporting cast including Michael De Mesa, Benjie Paras, Elisse Joson, Elijah Canlas, and Empoy Marquez. Shot entirely against the picturesque backdrop of Finland earlier this year, the movie held its star-studded premiere on October 27 at TriNoma.
The Finland shoot held extra personal significance for the lead stars, who used the overseas production to celebrate their first wedding anniversary together.
Outside of the film, both ALV Talent Circuit artists remain active fixtures on GMA Network. EA continues to deliver laughs on the long-running gag show Bubble Gang, while Shaira remains a mainstay on morning show Unang Hirit and co-hosts iBilib alongside Chris Tiu.
Rated PG by the MTRCB, BUDDY opens in Philippine cinemas nationwide on Wednesday, November 4.
